Mix 96.1

This from Monticello Live website. According to multiple sources, at 8:09 pm Saturday night, an unidentified Southeastern Oklahoma State University athlete received life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run auto/pedestrian collision on Highway 425 North in Monticello Arkansas.

After the game a group of visiting players were returning to Holiday Inn Express from a meal at Western Sizzlin, crossing the highway when the accident occurred.

Sources report a northbound "dark vehicle" struck the young man and drove away, without stopping.

Local ambulances and law enforcement quickly responded. The Southeastern player was taken to Drew Memorial Hospital, before being transported to Little Rock for further treatment.

Sunday's game has been canceled to allow everyone to focus on their concerns for the young man and his family.
