On Air

Radio should be fun, so we try to make it interesting with info you might need and have fun at the same time. I like music of all kind which works out because we play a variety of music at Mix 96.1. Sports is also big for me, have been involved in area sports at Southeastern OK State University and locally for 39 years. Grew up in Oklahoma and am pretty much lifetime Durant resident since I can't remember anything from before I moved here in 1985! Have been involved in radio in Durant since 1985.

Derek Reid

Derek is homegrown radio talent who graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2007. Truthfully, he has been fascinated with radio ever since he watched his first WKRP re-run in March of 1987. He is involved in every aspect of broadcasting as evidenced by his numerous efforts with the Southeastern Sports Network, the Keystone family of stations, and many other projects. His work with the Sports Network includes creating graphics such as digital scoreboards, editing videos like commercials used in the broadcast as well as the weekly football highlight videos, and even running a camera on the sidelines during homes games. Aside from broadcasting, his true loves have always been Rock music and professional wrestling, which he attempts to combine on his weekly syndicated program The RockShow. You can join Derek on the Mix every Friday night from 10pm to midnight as he carries you through another rock-n-roll weekend. Running the gamut of modern rock, Derek plays a little bit of everything with the exception of Bad Wolves and FFDP, and that's his promise to you.
